Honest Review - Quince
I don’t know about you, but it seems like I have always gotten a lot of ads for Quince. After a couple of years hearing about the brand, I got really curious about them and whether or not their quality was as good as they claimed - so I decided to try it out and share my experience with you!
In case you didn’t know, Quince is an online retailer that finds manufacturers of luxury goods (apparel, home goods, etc.) and sells direct from the manufacturer - this allows them to sell their goods at a significant discount. (You can read more about their business model and how it works here).
Here’s what I bought and my general thoughts on the experience:
Overall Experience
Overall, I had a pretty good experience with my purchase from Quince! Here are my thoughts summed up:
PROS:
All the items I bought were high-quality and true to the description on the website
The prices are very reasonable compared to pricing for similar high-end items
Their return policy is very generous (365 days), so it didn’t feel risky trying them
CONS:
Shipping takes longer than most retailers, especially during the holidays
Customer service was not very proactive - one of the items I ordered got delayed because it was an out of stock item, and I didn’t get any notifications or emails from them notifying me of the delay (but they were very responsive and accommodating once I reached out and asked about it)
Generally, I would say that if you want a really good deal on some high-end items, the pros outweigh the cons! But if you’re in a pinch and you need something fast, you’re probably better off going with other retailers.
What I Bought
Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Sweater
This sweater is AMAZING. If you only invest in one item from Quince, make it this one! The style and cut of the sweater are absolutely timeless and chic, and the quality is amazing - I am sure I’ll have this in my closet for years to come. I’m wearing size XS and it fits true to size.
Baby Alpaca-Wool Diamond Stitch Crew
This sweater is a great piece to transition from winter to spring! The sweater itself is pretty thin, but the ultra soft alpaca wool material gives it a good amount of warmth for cooler spring days. Since it’s thin, it’s also a great layering piece! I’m wearing size XS and it fits slightly oversized.
Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Pullover Hoodie
This sweater is the same material as the Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Sweater, but in hoodie form! I love having a knit hoodie to help elevate my athleisure looks, and this one is super soft and super warm! I’m wearing a size XS and I’d say it fits slightly oversized.
Organic Turkish Waffle Robe
This robe is my favorite robe I’ve ever had! The material is very cozy and feels great on the skin, but it’s also more lightweight so it’s great for the summer. I’m wearing a size XS and it fits true to size - if you like your robes more oversized, I’d go up 1 size.
