My Must Have Undergarments For Wedding Season (or Everyday)
Now that wedding season is here, it’s time to break out the dresses - which means backless, cutout, spaghetti straps, strapless, and one-shoulder pieces galore. I love to wear dresses that show off some skin here and there - but let’s be honest, there’s nothing that ruins a beautiful dress (or outfit) like having the wrong undergarments! These are my secrets for being able to rock that cutout dress without having to worry about a wardrobe malfunction.
1 - Fashion Tape
Fashion tape is an absolute MUST for plunging necklines and tricky cutouts! I personally love both of these brands from Amazon. The Fearless fashion tape has over 30,000 raving reviews, and it’s worth the hype - I have used it for weddings and events, and it really stays put no matter how sweaty you get! The only downside is that it’s too sticky for more delicate fabrics - it can leave a little bit of residue behind and can also be difficult to remove.
For more delicate fabrics, I like to use the Secretape brand (also from Amazon) - this tape still has really good hold but it’s easier to get off of more delicate fabrics like silk.
2 - Pasties
I know you might think that nippies are pointless, that they don’t provide enough coverage, and that they don’t stick very well, but hear me out - until I tried these nippies, I thought the same thing. But these pasties (the first picture) from B-Six are INCREDIBLE. They have a couple of different versions, regular and “extra” - I personally use the “extra” ones because the center is completely opaque and they are also thicker, so they provide more coverage and shape than the average pasty. I wear them almost daily in the summer, and they last forever - you can continue washing and reusing them multiple times before they lose their stickiness!
I also love Gatherall (second and third picture) - their pasties are opaque from edge to edge and are also washable, reusable, and very sticky (even if you’re sweaty!). Plus, for those of you who have a larger bust, they also have a backless sticky bra that has hundreds of rave reviews! I personally have only used their pasties since I don’t need much support, but based on the quality of the pasties and the reviews, I’d say it’s a safe bet to give this bra a shot :)
3 - Seamless, Breathable Thongs
I have very sensitive skin, so I have searched high and low for a breathable, seamless thong that is actually comfortable and that I can wear for longer periods of time - these thongs from Hanky Panky are a little on the pricey side, but they are 100% worth every penny! The Breathe and DreamEase fabrics are my favorite - they are so soft you can barely tell you have anything on, and the Breathe thongs are perfectly seamless and invisible under anything. I was a skeptic at first but now that I’ve tried them, I’m sold!
Nothing ruins a good outfit like a bra strap sticking out or panty lines showing, so I promise you won’t regret getting these - they’ll really help your outfits look (and feel) chic and flawless!
