2022 Valentine’s Day Gift Guide - experiences

Donny and I have never done gifts on Valentine’s Day, mostly because we typically prefer to do experiences together. We try to be as minimal as possible so that we don’t gather a bunch of clutter in our house, and gifting experiences is a great way to help keep clutter to a minimum, while also doing something to deepen and strengthen your relationship. These are some of my favorite experiences Donny and I have done together over the years!

Staycation

Pretty much every year that we haven’t been traveling on our anniversary, we’ve done a staycation at a hotel somewhere in Cherry Creek or Downtown Denver. It’s such a fun way to explore the town you live in! Plus, lots of hotels do special packages and deals for Valentine’s Day - we’ve gotten free breakfast in bed, vouchers for free food, and lots of other treats you wouldn’t normally get!

If you’re local to Denver, our favorite hotels that we’ve stayed at so far have been the Crawford Hotel at Union Station and the Kimpton Hotel. Both have great amenities and perks that come with their daily resort fee, and lots of fun packages you can add on for Valentine’s Day!

Cooking Class

Donny and I were gifted a cooking class at Uncorked Kitchen once and it was so much fun! We learned a lot, met some fun new people, and got to eat some delicious food. There are lots of places that offer cooking classes, and I highly recommend trying one!

Couples Massage

This is one of our all-time favorite things to do. Woodhouse Spa is one of our favorites - they have lots of locations, but I’ve felt that the experience has always been consistently incredible. We’ve also enjoyed massages at Elements Massage - they have lots of locations as well and are more affordable.

Alternatively, you can always give each other massages at home! Donny and I like to use Primally Pure’s Eucalyptus Lavender Body Butter at home - it smells like a spa! You can get $10 off your order of $50+ by using my referral link here.

Wine Tasting

This is something we love to do on our own or with friends! It’s always fun to explore local wineries and breweries and taste new things. We actually learned a couple of years ago that World Market occasionally does wine tastings and other in-store events for free - we did a couple and they were so much fun!

If you aren’t able to go out, just bring the experience home! Buy a few bottles of wine (or beer) that you haven’t tried before and add some fun snacks and appetizers.
