Poolside Outfit Inspiration

I’ve always loved being by the water, whether it’s the pool or the ocean - and I’ve also always loved finding different ensembles to put together! Over the years, I’ve found myself tending to lean towards one-piece swimsuits, because I feel like you can wear them as more of an outfit and not need as many cover-up pieces, so all of the suits featured in this post are one-pieces. Here are all my latest looks!

cutout one piece with crochet skirt

I love a good cutout swimsuit! This one has really nice material, and it feels very slimming. I’m in-between sizes and decided to size down on this one, since swimsuits tend to stretch out a bit when they’re wet. I paired it with this super cute crochet cover-up skirt and a fun tote bag.

A quick note about the cover-up - the one I’m wearing (ZAFUL brand) is listed as “one size” but it’s definitely not it fits like a size small. I included a link to an alternate option that I ended up returning because I didn’t like the color as much, but it does have more inclusive size options.

one-shoulder swimsuit with white shorts

This has quickly become my favorite swimsuit. I love the unique one-shoulder design, and it’s very comfortable and flattering! It’s out of stock in the brown color shown here, but they have it in green, and I linked some similar options as well. I paired it with my FAVORITE white shorts and the same tote bag from the previous outfit.

(P.S. These white shorts from AGOLDE are the BEST. They are not see-through at all and are super comfortable and high-quality!)

CLASSIC ALL-BLACK ENSEMBLE

You can’t go wrong with all black! This one-piece swimsuit from River Island is super cute - it has a very classic cut, and I love the accent of the gold belt. They’re running low on sizes (I’m wearing a size US4) so I linked a few other alternative options. I paired them with these breezy chiffon pants and my favorite aviators.

neon orange swimsuit with tassel belt bag

I love this slightly more fun, vibrant ensemble! The bright orange feels very fun and summery, and I paired it with the same crochet skirt I featured earlier in a different color. My exact swimsuit is no longer available, but I linked some similar options.

If you’re a fan of belt bags, this straw tasseled one is perfect for a tropical getaway if you don’t need a huge tote bag!

classic shirt + shorts

This outfit is a great example of why I love one-pieces so much - you could wear this while out running errands, or by the pool! I’ve had this white shirt coverup for years and I love it, and the denim shorts are the same as the white ones I featured earlier, just in a different color. The brown swimsuit I’m wearing is (sadly) not available anymore, but I linked some similar options below!

I hope this gives you some fun inspiration for your next pool party or tropical getaway!
